Summertime Louisiana fly fishing. August has started off with a bang and some great weather after the storm rolled through the early month. With the calm conditions the bait is piling up on the outside and so are the Bulls! It has been Insane summertime Louisiana fly fishing. This is the coolest time of the year! Its hot midday but getting out early on the giant schools is amazing and a sight to see. We are getting some giant Jack Crevelle mixed in with the bull reds its Summertime Louisiana fly fishing and I’mgiant looking at the forecast and it looks like we’re going to see some more lit up bull redfish in the Gulf. These spawned out redfish are so bright and beautiful. I have some great dates in September left and with a calm September and more spawning happening it’s going to be game on! I also have been catching seas trout by the hundreds early in the morning on artificials and having a great time doing it. While I’m waiting on schools of Reds I like to sight cast giant spinner sharks on the fly as well- these sharks are hot! They will give you a run for your money on a 10weight!
