If you are looking for a New Orleans fishing guide-With the great weather we have been having we have been hammering some Giant Jacks on Fly! We have been experiencing some great fishing the past week or so and should get stronger after this storm comes through into September! We have been seeing massive schools of Bull Redfish in the Gulf along with 30lb plus Jack Crevalle crashing bait on the edges. These Jacks are some of the most explosive topwater fishing you will ever see in Saltwater. When they school up there is not much better action than a giant popper in front of them. This super calm weather has the bait balled up and the birds pushing it down while the jacks and redfish attack it from below. The weather is much more predictable this time of year with calmer seas and although there are not the numbers of fish in the marsh there are still solid fish and more sunlight hours available than the winter. If you are looking for a New Orleans fishing guide give me a call to discuss some of the best dates this fall and winter!
